Rubideaux Fine Leucogranite

Object number: El 38-265
DescriptionVery light-brown medium-grained (1-5 mm) plutonic igneous rock. Mineral modes given by Larsen (1948) are 36% microperthite (K-feldpar), 34% quartz, 26% plagioclase, 2% biotite, and trace amounts of hornblende. Larsen describes this as a fine-grained rock, but it is technically medium-grained by modern naming conventions.
